Renaissance Learning

Renaissance Learning is an assessment tool used primarily as an additional piece of information about student progress in math and reading to help support individualized instruction for students. It also meets the New Jersey Department of Education's requirements as a universal screener for dyslexia, and is used as one of several measures of criteria for the district's PoGStudio and Elementary Enrichment Math program.

These short assessments are generally administered 3-4 times per year in grades K-8 (once per quarter or per trimester), but can be used as additional progress monitoring as is required for individual students. Each assessment takes approximately 25 minutes and certain accommodations are available to those who need it.
