How can I talk to my school counselor?
I tell my teacher I need to see the school counselor.
My parents/guardians request for me to see my school counselor.
My teacher or principal recommends me to see my school counselor.
My counselor invites me to join them.
I send my school counselor a Canvas message.
Overall, the school counselor serves as an advocate, consultant, facilitator, team-member, and supporter.

Confidentiality
When you talk to a school counselor, the discussion is confidential. The only time a school counselor will disclose confidential information is if you indicate that you are planning to harm yourself or someone else.
How can the school counselor help parents?
We are available to assist and provide you with the following:
Improving parent-child communication
Exploring ways to help your child succeed in school
Recommending referral sources
Understanding the developmental changes of adolescence
Parents and guardians are welcome to meet with counselors and are asked to make appointments in advance, to ensure that the counselor will be available. You may call or email a counselor to set-up a meeting.
